Common Name: Blue Trumpet Vine, Blue Sky Vine

It is native to India, the species occurs from Indochina to Malaysia.It is locally known as kartuau in Malaysia.

Features:-

1)     It bears numerous clusters of gorgeous trumpet-shaped mauve-coloured flowers, up to 8 cm long and 6-8 cm wide, on long pendulous branches.

      Though these non-scented, one-day bloomers open in the early morning and close in the same evening, its abundance make it seem to be flowering non-stop for days on end.

 Each large flower has a short broad tube, white outside and yellow inside, and frilled with 5 roundish, lavender-blue or pale violet to mauve-coloured petals, one of which is larger than the rest.

The plant develops a very tuberous root system.

Light: Prefers full sun to light shade. Blooms best with good sunlight and warmth in the day and cool temperatures during the night.

Moisture: Water moderately and regularly, keeping it evenly moist. More water during hot seasons and less in cooler climate
